ESUHSD: Summer School 2008


Summer School will begin on June 19, 2008 and will end on July 31, 2008

Summer school will be conducted at the following eight sites:

Andrew Hill, Foothill, James Lick, Mt. Pleasant, Piedmont Hills, Santa Teresa, Silver Creek, and W.C. Overfelt.

Please note that summer school will NOT be conducted at IHS site.

* CAHSEE is for class of 2007 and 2008 only.

Calendar:

First Semester June 19 to July 10, 2008 15 days
Holiday Friday, July 4  
Semester 2 July 11 to July 31, 2008 15 days


Daily Schedule:

Session 1 7:50-10:10 140 minutes
Break 10:10-10:35 25 minutes
Session 2 10:40-1:00 145 minutes (includes a 5 minute passing period)

Listed below are courses that may be offered in summer school:

1) MAKE-UP/SUPPORT Semester Courses:

Enrichment courses will be limited to 1,000 students district wide. IHS will receive 150 seats allotment.

3) ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT Year Courses with CAHSEE support:

Please note: Application is available to pick up at villa's guidance office. Submitting application does not guarantee acceptance into the summer school. Acceptance is subject to class and space availabilities as well as counselor/administrator's approval. Enrollment will be based on the date the application is received in the guidance office.

Special Day Class(SDC) students must complete a Special Education Summer School Application, The form can be obtained from student's case manager. RSP students should sign up for regular summer school classes.
Dead-line to submit completed application to guidance office will be April 18, 2008
